Lorenz Hetzel

Lorenz is the Co-Founder and CTO of Tanso. With an academic background from ETH Zurich and experience at BMW, Amazon, and the University of Cambridge, he combines deep AI and software expertise with a strong understanding of industrial systems. As an engineer, he published scientific work in the field of machine learning and developed scalable services for global applications. In 2021, he co-founded Tanso with the mission to make climate intelligence accessible to the European manufacturing industry. As CTO, he is responsible for the company’s technological direction, building systems that translate complex industrial data into precise, actionable sustainability decisions.
